I got this idea while watching a theater today, called Vildanden (The wild Duck). In one scene The daughter of The main character cuts herself after he left the family. later on, she committing suicide.

This is Emily. She met Nocturlos in junior high, and fell in love with him. However, she was too afraid to tell him, too afraid if he should reject her. Now that he has moved away, she was left alone. Crushed by her own heart. Every cut in her arm is a punishment for remembering me, and not having The guts for not telling me she loved me.
